Journal Activity:

I think swimming is more dangerous because there are a number of things that could go wrong: the current could pick up, they could knock their head on a rock, or there could be a whirlpool. Also, nobody is at the river to see if something goes wrong. If they were climbing the bluffs, at least there would be something to hold on to, but in a river, anything can happen. Even the bluffs are dangerous because their ropes or other equipment could break. Maybe they would be stopped before they started climbing. Some words to describe Tony are bold, careless, daring, disobedient, outgoing, and reckless. He doesn’t care about the rules that are set in place for safety; he just does what he wants to. Even if he’s putting another person in danger, he doesn’t care. Most people would call him a daredevil because of all his crazy ideas.
