Journal Activity Day 1
Joel could have told Tony that he wasn't scared; he just didn't see climbing the bluffs as wise. Joel could list out his reasons for not wanting to climb. Joel could have tried to get Tony to listen to reason. If Tony was still not listening, Joel could then bring in the help of an adult. Not just "can we bike out there", but "can we climb the bluffs", and made sure his parents knew that he did not want to go. Sure, Tony would have been mad, but later he would have realized that Joel was being the smart one. Hopefully, he and Joel would be able to work things out and in the end they might have gotten along better because they understood each other better. I cannot think of a time that a friend has pressured me to do something that I did not want to do.
